Greetings, Magical Souls!

Hello April! If you don’t follow us on social media (why NOT?) you probably missed our adventures in tea and tiny sandwiches! Candie and I got together to plan this months content and taste some of the offerings at The Kraken’s Cup!

It was so fun, and so tasty! And we met a new friend! So a good time all around.

April is about new beginnings, fresh starts, growth and new opportunities! So I can’t wait to see what the month has to bring!

Sage Advice

April is a good time for spring cleaning! Start by purging clutter. Do a Marie Kondo to clear the house and banish what is no longer serving you. Then start clearing the energies and cleaning the space! Refresh the world around you and feel refreshed inside!

Tools for Clearing

Sound: You can use singing bowls, bells, drums, chants, clapping or even your favorite music to clear your space of unwanted energy.

Crystals: Bring in crystals like blues and greens to help clear the air for open communication. Use transparent or white stones to connect to your highest self. Apophyllite, Kyanite, Flourite are a few good ones!

Sprays: If burning things isn’t an option to clear you could make a spray with essential oils.

Ingredients:

• A small spray bottle

• sage essential oil

• sage essence (optional)

• other favorite essential oils (optional)

• spring water

• witch hazel

Instructions:

1. charge spray bottle on a sunny windowsill for a few hours

2. put in a few drops of sage essential oils into the bottle. You can also add a few drops of the sage essence.

3. Add the additional essentials oils i you are choosing to use them.

4. Fill the bottle three-quarters of the way with spring water and the last quarter with witch hazel. (you can also use vodka).

5. Spray around your space in the same way you would use smoke.

Smoke: Smoke represents the transmutation of the material world into the higher spirit realm. The herbs for clearing with smoke can come in stick or bundle form. Herbs usually used for clearing are: Sage, Mugwort, Cedar or Sweetgrass.

Often, we feel very inspired to set new spring intentions for ourselves this time of year.

Cleansing

Open some windows to let the fresh air circulate through your space. Then get to actually cleaning! And when you create your own cleaning products you can infuse them with your own intentions!

All Purpose Cleaner: Makes a 400 mL bottle of all purpose cleaner.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. sals suds or castile soap

• 1 teaspoon borax

• 30 mL vodka

• distilled water

• essential oils of your choice

Instructions:

1. Mix your ingredients together in a bowl

2. add five to twenty drops of essential oil for scent

3. add to your bottle using a funnel if necessary, and fill the rest with distilled water. If you also add a few drops of clearing crystal essence at this stage it will take your cleaning spell to the next magical level.

Night Sky: Moon, Mars and Twin Stars

On the evening of April 4, 2025, the fat waxing crescent moon will lie below a line formed by Mars and the twin stars of Gemini, Castor and Pollux. Procyon is nearby, it’s the brightest star in Canis Minor. Then on the following evening, April 5, the 1st quarter moon forms a triangle with Mars, Castor and Pollux. They’ll set a few hours before dawn.
