Greetings, Magical Souls!

I realized I have been doing this weekly newsletter for 3.5 months now and you don’t really know who is behind the scenes. Two of us make up this creation! Candie and Callie. We have been friends since 2018 or 19 when we met on a camping trip! We have saved lives transporting animals and our favorite adventures usually involve tea and mystical shops!

So a little introduction is in order!

Callie (ME) – I have been feeling witchy since my cousin bought a candle magic book over 29 years ago. I love divination, rocks & crystals, plants, and books. I live in Seymour, with my husband, and 5 cats. I am currently planning some spring road trips and working on connecting better to my spirit guides.

Candie – Has been walking the Pagan path for over 30 years with some ebbs and flows as sometimes life just gets in the way.  She loves astrology, tarot cards, rocks and crystals, candles, and books.  She lives in Maryville, originally from Chicago, with her son – a UT grad, 3 dogs, 2 cats, snakes, lizards, and spiders.  She is currently planning her spring garden and working more with the moon phases.

Sage Advice

We are going to continue “spring cleaning” this month. With some wise words from the “Witchcraft Therapy” book.. “Get Your Shit Together.” We cleared our energy and cleaned our space now we are going to clear out our own bullshit so we can chase the life we want!

Think about what does the end look like (and this doesn’t have to be like the end end obviously, but like at the end of 5 years what will your life look like?)

Work backwards from there. Break it down, outline a plan and set up your visions to get there. Then decide what is your motivation to get there.

Once you have your vision, keep it in the front of your mind. And ask yourself, “is this (action, job, whatever) getting me to my goal or vision? And course correct as needed.

A great way to help you visualize your goals, plans, dream life is a vision board!

Vision Boards

• Art Supplies (paper, glue, paint, scissors, glitter, whatever your little heart desires to use)

• Old magazines or access to a printer

• Poster board or corkboard

• Black Salt

• Citrine Crystal

1. Try thinking of some specific things you want to manifest. Things future you would have, or be doing.

2. Cut out or print images that represent that life you want to manifest. (This can also be done digitally like in Canva, photoshop or even a spreadsheet with images added.)

   • note: there is something a bit more grounding and magical about having a physical thing you can touch.

3. Gather all of your items focus on them one at a time and affirm you chose that item and what it represents. Feel what it would feel like having it already.

4. Arrange and Affix the images on your board.

5. When you have completed your board lay it on the floor and surround it with a thin sprinkling of black salt. Place the citrine crystal in the middle of the board.

6. Focus on the who vision board. Feel gratitude wash over you and affirm that these things already exist in the future

7. Place your board somewhere visible so you can see it and revisit it.

8. Carry your citrine with you for an extra boost for manifesting.

Don’t get to caught up in the outcome. The universe knows what it is doing.

Night Sky: Lyrid Meteor Shower

The predicted peak of the Lyrid meteor shower is on April 22. The peak of the Lyrids is narrow (no weeks-long stretches of meteor-watching, as with some showers). So, the best time to watch is late evening April 21 to after midnight on April 22. Watch before the thick waning crescent moon rises several hours after midnight.

Lyrid meteors radiate from near the bright star Vega in the constellation Lyra the Harp. You don’t need to identify Vega or Lyra in order to watch the Lyrid meteor shower. But you do need to know when the radiant rises, in this case in the northeast before midnight. You’ll see the most meteors after the radiant has come over the horizon.
