Knoxville Sage Newsletter #31

This week in magick!

Greetings, Magickal Souls!

I hope everyone is staying cool!! It has been a scorcher out there as of late! I have been soaking up the AC as much as possible while creating items for the shop and planning my next adventure!

Speaking of adventures, for anyone wondering, I assume Candie’s ears have healed up, I haven’t been told they fell off so I think we’re good! 😹😹

Something exciting at least to me! My favorite holiday of the year is Monday! I am turning 29 again, I stopped celebrating the number awhile ago. Now I do it for the sheer blessing I am to the world since the day of my birth!

I usually take the week off from working, and plan a month of things to do, because as a Leo I claim all of August!! I even refuse to share with my partner!

Anyway, I am just one reason you should love August, Lughnasadh is another!

Getting a jump on Virgo season with this one!

Sage Advice

A little lead in story, I grew up in small “town” Ohio. It was actually the village of Ashley, with 2500 people and 1 stop light. Every year they have the Ashley Corn Show. And I always loved it, because it always fell the end of July first of August, which is obviously around my birthday!

My friends and I would get to run around the corn show, playing games, eating food, and riding rides. So many memories were made, and was better than any birthday party! It wasn’t until I started practicing witchcraft that I realized my favorite little community party was the harvest festival Lughnasadh!! 🤦‍♀️

Lughnasadh is the first harvest festival. It symbolizes the first fruits of planting labor, reflecting the delicate balance between nature’s bounty and the hard work required to cultivate it. By honoring Lughnasadh, we reconnect with our ancestors’ traditions and the enduring rhythms of the earth.
