Greetings, Magickal Souls!

I hope your thanksgiving was everything you needed it to be! We have a “tradition” in our house to not eat traditionally, which as vegans isn’t hard 😆 We did a barbeque plate, with mac & cheeze and home fries! It was so nice watching football and eating good food with hubs and my mom!

Then Candie and I met this past weekend! We did some planning for the year to come! And we hope you are as excited as we are to see what’s next! There may be merch, there may be challenges, there may even be an in person event with us TWO introverts! Stay tuned to see!!

Sage Advice

Bring on Yule! There are some easy ways to make Yule feel different than it would if you were decorating for Christmas. Here are a few to consider.

• Use Natural Textures. Layer found evergreen boughs, birch branches, moss, pine cones, and other found elements versus using store-bought ones. If you do purchase items, look for those that reflect the forest like owls, foxes, and mushrooms. Consider topping your tree with a rustic twig star.

• Create a Sun Symbol. Add a sun motif to represent the rebirth of the Sun at the Winter Solstice.

• Include Ancestral Touches. Place family photos, heirloom ornaments, or offerings of cake, bread, or ale near your Yule decor to honor those who came before.

• Use Symbolic Colors. Gold for the Sun, red for vitality, green for abundance and renewal, white for snow and purity, and black for the dark.

• Add an Element of Mystery: Vintage-style ornaments and keys can reflect the times that have past and doors yet to be opened.

Create nature-inspired DIY projects that honor the season’s themes of light, renewal, and protection:

Dried Citrus Slices - Thinly slice oranges (they represent the Sun and, at Yule, its return) and dry them slowly on low heat (around 200°F) until they are dehydrated and firm. Use them as ornaments, or string them on twine to create a long, fragrant garland for your hearth or Yule tree.

DIY Yule Log Centerpiece - Drill three holes into a short log piece to hold taper candles in the colors of red, green, and white/gold. Decorate the log with fresh pine sprigs, holly, and ivy to make a rustic, symbolic centerpiece for your Yule table.

Witches Balls - Yule Balls are very easy to make. All you need is a glass or plastic ornament, a glue gun and some herbs, crystals, wire, feathers or even little trinkets. Get creative, use whatever you have in your closet, yard, or pantry.

Herbal Bundles - Tie a cluster of aromatic elements together with natural twine. Hang these sweet, spicy bundles near entrances or on the mantle as a cleansing house charm or burn them if you are doing a smoke cleansing.

Night Sky: Moon & Saturn

December 4, the full Cold Moon – and it’s a supermoon – will shine near Jupiter, the bright constellation Orion the Hunter and among some of our brightest stars. Jupiter will be near the twin stars of Gemini, Castor and Pollux. Plus, the brightest star in the sky, Sirius, will be nearby. They’ll be visible through dawn.

Meet Sweet Tart a wiggly, bouncy, joyful little fluff who is exactly what her name promises — a perfect mix of sweet as sugar and just a little tart when she’s feeling sassy.

This baby girl is ALL PUPPY: curious about everything, ready to play at any moment, and convinced that the whole world exists for her to explore. She loves toys, treats, friends, fun, and will absolutely fall asleep mid-zoomie when she runs out of battery. Sweet Tart is learning her manners, figuring out the big world, and would thrive with someone ready to guide her through puppyhood with patience, structure, and lots of love.
